I come across a lot of installs that have had the ‘Hand of the DIYer’ hack a two way splitter into them, then left well alone until a further point or two are needed. Now the requirement for a further point or two becomes more of a challenge. The ability to send signals from just about any type of entertainment you have in the lounge around the home needs a little bit more kit than that 50p ‘Y’ splitter you installed, Maybe now you have Sky TV and want to connect a second TV and control the SKY from the second TV. It was never really a secret that your SKY receiver had two outputs, RF1 would be for the main lounge TV RF2 would be for the second TV maybe in a bedroom or kitchen. Have a look at the diagram and follow RF2 the purple line is the coaxial that you will install to send the signal to the second TV .

You will need to purchase coaxial cable to reach the TV and two coaxial plugs including one adapter to convert one of the coaxial plugs to a female connector for RF2 on the back of your SKY box.....Simple!

Games machines, Blue ray players, that are connected directly into the TV will allow the viewer to watch ‘HD’ content in another room. But another source of ‘HD’ content will come from Freesat.
